The below application is for our next recruitment year. Successful candidates for apprenticeship would start work in June of that year!  The deadline to submit an application for our next apprenticeship class is March 31st.

Information requested herein (age, sex, race, veteran status, etc.) is to be used for statistical purposes and will only be disclosed to the U.S. Department of Labor Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training.

The Following Minimum Requirements Are Necessary To Be Considered For Probationary Apprenticeship With Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 81
1. High School diploma or equivalency
2. Eighteen (18) years of age
3. Reliable transportation
4. A signed affidavit for physical performance

If You Are Accepted For A Probationary Apprenticeship You Will Be Required To:
1. Submit a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening;
2. Serve as a probationary apprentice for a period of one (1) year;
3. Serve a five (5) year apprenticeship including the probationary period;
4. Report for work on a regular basis;
5. Provide your own reliable transportation to and from the job site;
6. Work under the direction of a journey worker on the job site and perform duties satisfactorily;
7. Attend related instruction classes regularly for the duration of the apprenticeship and maintain an acceptable average;
8. Abide by all rules and regulations of the Joint Apprentice and Training Committee.
